Buoyed by a good showing in two polls yesterday, independent gubernatorial candidate Chris Daggett came out swinging in last night’s debate with Democratic Gov. Corzine and Republican Christopher J. Christie.“My two opponents’ campaigns have been going backward since June,” said Daggett. “Mr. Corzine, because he has had a series of failed fiscal policies which led our state to near ruin, and Mr. Christie, because he’s had a campaign without substance and lacking in intellectual integrity.”

I have been living and voting in New Jersey for over twenty years, and I have seen a parade of corrupt politicians - of both parties - come and go and still the problems that face our state go unresolved year after year. I for one say - no more. Chris Daggett is the first candidate in years to offer real solutions, and not more promises that we know will be broken.
go dagget!
Dear Chris:
Good luck in your race for Governor! I know that Ed Funk and I, two of your old suite mates from Morrison Dorm at UNC, are rooting for you. From what I have readand heard about your campaign I believe that you are running an independent and ethical race for Governor in a state that is in many ways in need of the kinds of reforms that you are proposing. I hope you get this message of good luck in the election and best wishes.
Your friend,
Gwyn Ingle
